Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Video Editor to enhance our content. You will be responsible for editing, refining, and polishing our video materials to create engaging, high-quality long-form and short-form content. Working directly with our co-founder and host, you'll transform full-length episodes into compelling narratives that showcase the heart of our podcast.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Editing
- Long-Form Editing: Edit full-length video podcast episodes (60-120 minutes).
- Short-Form Content: Create short clips (1-5 minute highlights, teasers, social media snippets) for socials.
2. Creative Storytelling
- Collaborative Vision: Ensure each episode aligns with the podcast's vision and tone.
- Narrative Crafting: Edit raw content to create engaging stories, adjusting pacing and flow for maximum engagement.
- Visual Enhancements: Design and animate overlays—text, titles, logos, timestamps—to enrich the viewer's experience.
- Sound Design: Incorporate relevant sound effects, transitions, and music to heighten impact.
3. Quality Control
- Storytelling: Identify multiple short-form stories from each full-length episode.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure all content is error-free and edited to a high standard.
- Consistency: Maintain a consistent style across all episodes, adhering to established guidelines.
4. Workflow Management
- Time Management: Meet project timelines and deadlines.
- Feedback Integration: Incorporate feedback to refine each episode.
5. Collaboration
- Team Coordination: Work with the host and production team to understand episode goals.
- Creative Suggestions: Offer ideas to enhance pacing and structure.
